Inside any circus tent is a bright world of amazing sets, costumes, and performances. Whether it’s actors, acrobats or animals, a circus is a variety show that features the unique talents of its players. In this class, we will be using inspiration from some classic circus acts to create our very own show. From feats of strength to titular talents, solo acts or off-stage magic, circus is a way to bring out and feature the talents of anyone, on the stage or off!
During this ten week class, students will work with guest artists to explore an array of skills and tricks, including acrobatics, unicycling, juggling, stage fighting, and sleight of hand. Our final show will feature original acts, costumes, and sets. No circus experience is necessary- there is plenty of room on or off stage for this fun, whimsical celebration.
