In the W at the Holter
No prior registration required: Free and open to the public
Facilitated by a Transgender individual and accompanied by a Transgender, Nonbinary, or Two Spirit mental health professional, this decompression brings community members the care and strength necessary to finish out the legislative session.
Decompressions typically precede an event that is particularly difficult for a people group and are designed to create a brave space for folks to release any tension, stress and other heavy feelings in a supportive environment surrounded by their peers. TransVisible’s Mid-Session Decompression is specifically organized for Transgender, Nonbinary, and Two Spirit Montanans to address any fears, concerns, and questions that have arisen due to anti-Transgender legislation.
Facilitator Bio: Paxton McCausland (he/they) has been facilitating trans specific support groups and decompressions for the past 8 years. He began serving Queer and Transgender communities as a member of the leadership team for the Gender and Sexuality Acceptance Club on his undergraduate campus. They both facilitated and created several support groups and Transgender-specific events as the Program Coordinator for the Montana Gender Alliance. Paxton joined TransVisible Montana three years ago and is now the co-lead of TVMT’s Leadership Development Subcommittee. Living in Missoula with his evil dog and cat, they are dedicated to Transgender liberation and healing.
