The Holter Museum of Art is seeking submissions for the 2024 Ho Ho Holter art show and sale, held November 8 – December 31, 2024!
Submit your artwork and fine craft items to sell throughout the museum to celebrate the holiday season and offer patrons unique, high-quality, handmade artwork.
Guidelines:
- All work must be display-ready, with hanging mechanisms or display methods considered. Wall hanging work MUST have a wire or hook mechanism installed on the back. The triangles on the back of picture frames DO NOT count as a hanging mechanism. Neither do razor hooks. Please add a wire. Pedestal work must be stable.
- Please provide images that give a good idea and overview of your work. It does not have to be the exact inventory you propose, but please give an accurate portrayal of the type of work you do. The number of pieces accepted may vary from artist to artist due to the scale and number of pieces available.
- The artist retains 60% of each sale, and checks are remitted monthly to artists whose work has sold in the previous month.
- This is not a holiday-themed show; work of all mediums and subject matter will be considered.
Important Dates:
- September 20th: Application Deadline
- September 27th: Application Review
- October 4th: Artist Notifications
- October 21st – 25th: Accepted works delivered to the Holter c/o Hannah Harvey
- November 8th: Ho Ho Holter Opening Reception & Fall Artwalk – 4-8 pm. Silent Auction opens.
- November 15th: Silent Auction Closes
- December 31st: Ho Ho Holter closes
- January 8th – 10th: Artists may come pick up their work or arrange to have work shipped back to you
This is a juried show. This is also the first year we will charge a small $20 application fee. We have decided to do this because Ho Ho requires a tremendous amount of work and effort from everyone involved, from artists to our staff. We want to show our support for those who work diligently to coordinate this beloved holiday event. The $20 application fee will be waived for those who apply who are already Holter members as a token of our appreciation for your commitment to the arts.
This year, the Holter will be holding a silent auction in addition to the sale. The silent auction will open for bidding on November 8th at Ho Ho Holter and close on November 15th. This is for people who are also participating in Ho Ho Holter. If you would like to participate, please fill out the applicable section below. The silent auction will also be juried.
