Galen ‘Mac’ McAllister was born in Wisconsin and grew up in Bozeman, Montana, where he was lucky enough to receive a solid foundation in the arts through what was then a very strong program at Bozeman Senior High School. Living in the landscapes of Yellowstone and Southwestern Montana gave him a strong sense of place, which is reflected in his art. ‘Mac’ served in both the Navy and Army in various positions until retirement, culminating in over a decade in international affairs. His passion for creating never stopped. He currently lives and works in Helena, Montana, where he focuses on three genres which have occupied much of his efforts between the “interregnums” of other careers. Those are: landscapes, surrealistic yet representational scenes, and unique fantasy art. He has been featured in solo exhibitions as well as art galleries in Maryland, Michigan, and Montana. Recently ‘Mac’ made a final exit from service and is currently dedicating retirement to ‘re-booting’ his art career through classes at Helena College.
Mint Pitassy was born on March 30, 2003, and resides in Montana. His work ranges from performances, such as the 2023 Felon’s Ball, to paintings and digital work. His work has been featured in the 2022 and 2023 Helena College Art Showcase. Mint is working towards an associate’s degree at Helena College. He plans to continue his educational pathway at the University of Montana in Missoula, studying Media Arts and Interactive Media. When he is not attending classes or creating artwork, he enjoys going to the gym, playing video games, and making ends meet at his retail job.
