Puppet Muppet Oh my! Create your own Muppet inspired puppet with professional puppeteer Ryne Sorensen. We will get to select materials and customize our puppets while learning basic patterns, assemblage, and life-bringing mechanics to take our puppets from a scrap of fabric to walking talking boot stomping Muppets! (boots not included) Participants can expect to learn hand-stitching and some sewing machine basics while sewing together the body and connecting eyes, ears, noses, mouths and tongues. Ryne will then introduce participants to a crash course in puppeteering, a.k.a. a puppet boot camp.
Bio: I am a Puppet-Maker, Props Artisan, Sculptor, Character Designer, and (once in a blue moon) Performer. I have been building and performing since childhood. My mom put up with the weird gadgets I made to solve silly inconveniences, and my dad taught me how to use a band saw earlier than he probably cares to admit. But, I wouldn’t be where I am if my folks didn’t support me early on in my building and performance endeavors. Let’s make some puppets! https://www.rynesorensen.com/
