Virtual & Past Exhibits

The Holter Museum of Art collects, preserves, exhibits, and researches contemporary American Art and Artists with an emphasis on Montana and the American West, beginning with the birth of Montana’s modernist movement.

The permanent collection consists of over 1,200 artworks, spanning two-dimensional and three-dimensional media. See below for a sampling of our permanent collection artists.

Artist Talk: 6:30-7:00 pm

Frank Hyder’s inflatable sculptures are making an appearance for a temporary pop-up exhibit Friday August 9th, 6-8pm.

Sculptures featured are large-scale, double-faced inflatable sculptures, and are part of his body of work titled the Janis Project. Apart from the Janis sculptures there will also be a 30 ft. inflatable whale installed outside the museum, you wont want to miss this!
