This one-month long exhibit explores some select works in greyscale from the Holter’s Permanent Collection.
With many modernist works by Montana based artists, this exhibit illustrates the narrative, abstract, and symbolic power of simply using just black, white, and greyscale to create work.
The Holter is honored to house these works and many more, and to serve as stewards so that generations to come may experience and appreciate influential pieces such as these. These artists, and the donors of these works, have made a significant impact on open access to fine art in Montana.
