Due to our dear David Spencer’s unfortunate passing, the Holter has found itself in possession of his over 10,000 books. While we intend to distribute these books to the community through our quasi-bookstore held in the ‘W,’ we also had the idea to transform some of these books into works of art! We are inviting artists to create sculptures with David’s books for us to auction off at our annual gala. The theme for our 2025 gala is Metamorphosis, which was a subject near and dear to our departed friend. Join us in celebrating the life of David Spencer and the transformative power of art!
The Holter’s front window, formerly referred to as the “Fishbowl” or “Aquarium” gallery, has been newly refreshed and re-named The Atrium Gallery!
The Atrium Gallery will be home to month-long exhibits, challenging artists to formulate solutions for mounting an exhibition in an intimate space. This space is the only gallery in the museum visible from the outside, providing an art experience to passers-by.
