Exhibition Proposal
2024 Selection Dates
- Q1 – March 27th (deadline for Submission March 23rd)
- Q2 – June 19th (deadline for submission June 15th)
- Q3 – September 18th (deadline for submission September 14th)
- Q4 – December 18th (deadline for submission December 14th)
You will be informed of your selection status within two weeks after the upcoming selection date. The Holter organizes exhibits from 1 – 3 years in advance.
How to Submit/Required Materials
Additional materials not listed here may be requested by museum staff later in the exhibition proposal process.

- Cover Letter that includes:
- name or how you prefer to be addressed
- phone number
- address
- website
- title of proposed exhibition
- description of the proposed exhibit – overall concept, content, and medium
- shipping or method of delivery for artwork
- Artist’s Statement
- Biography
- Resume/CV
- Educational Programming or Community Outreach (if any)
- Budget &/or special accommodations needed
- Image List
- Title
- Dimensions
- Date
- Medium
- Size
- Clearly labeled with titles corresponding to file titles of images included
- 10 high-quality individual images of artwork
- We will accept up to 20 images
- Images should be labeled and correspond with the image list
- PLEASE NO HEIC FILES

Please email a Google Drive Link, Dropbox, or other cloud-based file-sharing method to exhibitions.holter@gmail.com. This email is monitored for incoming submissions only and will not respond to questions.
A PDF is acceptable for all submission materials except images; they must be individual files.
