Description

This open studio invites participants into the Holter to pull from our massive art closet! Use new material or familiar materials to practice recreating existing artwork or strike off on your own. A teaching artist is on-hand to field questions, offer advice, and help introduce new mediums. This class encourages exploration and observation while learning the same techniques and mediums used by professional artists.

About the instructor: Abby Ouellette is an Illustrator originally from Boston, Massachusetts. She is passionate about bright colors, desert plants, and creating work that is fun. Abby frequently explores the concept of girlhood and coming of age through her illustrations, and brings a fun and nostalgic twist to them through movement and cut-paper techniques. She can talk forever about her many plants, her personal library of books, and her dog Mabel.
