Life of Montana…As Ever: The Art of Bob and Gennie DeWeese
Baucus, Nicholson, and Held Galleries, June 12 – August 16, 2026
Bob and Gennie DeWeese were pioneers in Montana’s art history canon, often known as the father and mother of Montana’s Modernist movement. This robust retrospective showcases the Holter’s large collection of work by the DeWeese’s, and also highlights the artistic efforts of their children: Josh, Tina, and Gretchen. Enjoy an intimate look at the life of Montana’s beloved artistic families. Guest curated in part by Tina and Josh DeWeese.
Now, Next, Always: The Bray, 2000-2025
The Archie Bray Foundation has long been a connection point for artists both near and far. Established in 1951 as an on-site residency program for serious ceramic artists, the Bray has a long and illustrious twentieth-century history. This show links the Bray’s twenty-first century future to the strength of its female progenitors and other women working in ceramics throughout the Mountain West. Guest curated by Jenni Sorkin.
