Learn new skills & meet new people

The Holter is a nonprofit community that has run on the generous support of volunteers for over 30 years. 

  • Receive special training and give guided tours, engage with children and adults throughout the year.
  • Volunteer to help run an event: If you enjoy being around people, art, and entertaining parties, volunteer for one of our many Museum events.
    • You will be asked to assist in keeping the galleries safe, in set up and take down. Volunteers who are Safe Server Certified, can bartend.
    • The Holter will help volunteers who are 21+ become Safe Server Certified.

Opportunities

Be A Docent

A specially trained volunteer of the Holter education team. Docents give guided tours, engage with children and adults in art making sessions, and community events.

Exhibitions

This group of volunteers are trained to help our Curator set up and take down exhibitions. Volunteers learn art handling, painting, forklift safety, sanding, and museum standard hanging.

Reception

Be a part of the Museum greeters. Volunteers at the front desk will engage with Museum guests & inform them about current shows. Volunteers will help with any data entry as needed.
