Holter Museum of Art:

The Holter’s Collection

The Holter Museum of Art collects, preserves, exhibits, and researches contemporary American art and artists with an emphasis on Montana and the American West, beginning with the birth of Montana’s modernist movement.

The Holter is home to a collection of approximately 1,700 artworks. Works from the collection are featured in rotating exhibitions and are occasionally loaned to other institutions. A large part of the Holter’s collection is now available to browse online! This archive is currently being updated with new records.

The collection would not be possible without a wide community of donors. The majority of collection artworks are donations, and operations have been funded in part by generous grants and donations.
