Adventures in Cardboard: Mine Shaft Take-over at the Montana Historical Society

Join for a fun-filled event with opportunities to craft, explore a giant maze, take part in a nerf dart shooting gallery, and fight alongside fellow miners to defend the union from the greedy company!

Oct. 1 – The Historical Society comes to the Holter!

A Historian will share information about pick-axes, life in the mines, and more with students in Adventures in Cardboard: Armory and Games, before we get started building. Ages 8-16.

Oct. 2 – Maze Construction

Art and Play Instructors will begin building a maze in the lobby of the Montana Heritage Center. Stop by, say hi, and then come back on Saturday to check it out.

Oct. 3 – Mine Shaft Maze, Cardboard Build Session, and Epic Outdoor Fight for the Mine!

Mine Shaft Maze – Explore the maze and take aim at bandits in a shooting gallery. Open to All Ages!

Cardboard Build – Join Art & Play Instructors in making pick-axes, mine helmets, and lanterns. Ages 7+

Epic Outdoor Fight – Join us on the lawn as we take up foam and cardboard swords and choose sides to determine who claims the mine! Ages 8+

All events are offered at no cost through a partnership between the Holter Museum of Art and the Montana Historical Society.
